About this listing

SolarCraft is listed on Top Solar Services as a solar contractor serving Novato, California. The 47 verified reviews on this page reflects real client experiences. Use the information on this page — the verified review count, sub-ratings on quality, schedule, cost, and willingness-to-refer, the company\'s services and pricing snapshot, and the contact details — alongside your own due diligence on licensing and insurance before requesting a quote.

Solar contractors in this category should carry a current state contractor license, $1M+ general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and verified reviews from recent projects in your area.

In California, solar contractors are typically licensed at the state level for electrical or general construction work, and the most-cited credentials homeowners check on this page are NABCEP certification, manufacturer training (Tesla, Enphase, SolarEdge), and verified workers' compensation coverage. Confirm SolarCraft\'s state contractor license number with your California licensing board, verify any NABCEP credentials at nabcep.org, and request proof of general liability and workers\' compensation insurance certificates that name your project address before signing a contract. For larger projects, ask for two or three references from recently completed installs of similar size and call them about quality, schedule, and warranty service experience.

This company is hands down one of the best solar companies in the Bay Area. With over 40 years in the industry there’s a reason they stay in business. They had fantastic customer service, the guys were tidy on install with no mess left behind. As an electrical contractor we don’t cut corners and this company showed that same attitude. 5 stars all the way around

SolarCraft installed a heat pump in our add-on room. They did an excellent job and were on schedule with no surprises. The cost was reasonable and they were easy to work with and get a hold of from beginning to end. The heat pump was installed almost a year ago and works great!

I got both my Solar panels and a heat pump from SolarCraft, and was extremely pleased with their competence, efficiency and friendliness. Great to business with them, and glad they use high quality products - gives me a lot of confidence that the maintenance will be minimal. And I appreciate that they're an employee-owned business.

I had a terrible experience with them. I used them for solar and a battery back up. The system is not working right and power surges cause everything to shut down completely and go off grid. They claim its my tesla charger but other things like the air con cause the power to surge and shut down. The first weekend my power went off and I had to call an emergency electrician in to fix the issue and they won't even cover that. They held a gun to my head to pay them everything or fail to get the tax credit. Now I am forced to fix this by myself on my own dime.I also had 3 project managers in my time with them. Would highly recommend you use someone else.

Their response is not accurate as I paid them for electric vehicle install and they installed the charger. See do not trust them!
