About this listing

Bright Home Energy is listed on Top Solar Services as a solar contractor serving Phoenix, Arizona. The 508 verified reviews on this page reflects real client experiences. Use the information on this page — the verified review count, sub-ratings on quality, schedule, cost, and willingness-to-refer, the company\'s services and pricing snapshot, and the contact details — alongside your own due diligence on licensing and insurance before requesting a quote.

Solar contractors in this category should carry a current state contractor license, $1M+ general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and verified reviews from recent projects in your area.

In Arizona, solar contractors are typically licensed at the state level for electrical or general construction work, and the most-cited credentials homeowners check on this page are NABCEP certification, manufacturer training (Tesla, Enphase, SolarEdge), and verified workers' compensation coverage. Confirm Bright Home Energy\'s state contractor license number with your Arizona licensing board, verify any NABCEP credentials at nabcep.org, and request proof of general liability and workers\' compensation insurance certificates that name your project address before signing a contract. For larger projects, ask for two or three references from recently completed installs of similar size and call them about quality, schedule, and warranty service experience.

Questions to ask this contractor

Seth and Austin are incredible to work with. I highly recommend them for all your solar needs. Seth is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, going above and beyond to assist us in understanding everything. Austin kept us informed throughout the process and was always ready to answer any questions we had. Austin’s exceptional customer service, which is rare these days, was evident in his friendly and attentive phone interactions.

My partner and I installed our solar panels in 2019 the battery set up available was not going to fit our needs and decided to wait. Here we are in 2025 im walking through Lowes i was greeted by a bright homes rep. I brush him off as we already had solar, he mentioned batteries & cought my attention we began talking about it & I invited him to my home so we can discuss it further, a different rep shows up i believe his name is Nathan. We talk & he tells me the benefits of the new power wall 3 & how it would run whole home instead of dedicated circuits. At this point we start talking numbers & he mentions a $450 processing fee refund. He leaves & I talk it over with my partner, we agree to move forward if we can get a slightly better deal so that it makes sense for us to do it. We meet nathan again & he made it possible, great will we still get the $450 refund he said yes. They got the ball rolling & a few weeks later we have permits from the city and the h.o.a. a few weeks after they came to do the install, it looks good but they said they had to leave due to some part or something & would return the next day to finish should take about 1 hour... the next day comes, bright homes calls us asking to leave a review & sign the documents that state the job is completed. We told them it is not completed & we are waiting for installer to finish the job & we will not sign off until it is complete, they were surprised because they thought it was completed. They called back a few minutes later & said the installer will be back at the end of the week. End of the week comes & they "finished" the install & we need to wait for aps to install the meter. Great we waited and waited a couple weeks go by & bright homes contacts us & asks how we are enjoying the system? Well its still not up & running yet no one has communicated with us regarding the meter nor the app or anything this is two weeks after the last point of contact. So they once again ask us to leave a positive review & sign the documents that state the job is complete & submit the finance documents as well... the job is incomplete! We do not feel comfortable signing documents of this level until the job is truly complete. At this point they are getting very persistent & said our contract states that we would sign even if its not complete... the next day they set up appointment with aps to install meter & it would be 7 to 10 business days before they come out, and would need the documents completed regardless because their part is finished. OK fine we signed the documents the finance paper showed a specific amount but when the financing went through it was a higher amount??? We also did not receive the $450 refund they promised & nathan no longer responded to my calls or text (ghosted me) now that the documents are signed off and we wait for aps there is still no communication regarding the system set up the app, how it works or any of that we figured it out on our own, since we own teslas we already had the app, tesla was very informative & helpful even though they had no part of this deal. Finally aps installed the meter & the system is live months later, the reason for 3 stars is because once the system became live bright homes called us 2 days after said there is something wrong with the system & sent a tech out next day they were very quick about it and fixed the error and the system is working great. I wish I could have given them a perfect 5 but getting ghosted by the rep and the missing $450 they promised would be refunded, the higher loan amount, lack of communication just dont sit right with us. We are currently working on another project that is very large & we would benefit from a service like them. this was our personal experience with this company. I hope they can at least make things better for us by correcting the loan balance, following through with the $450, if you say your going to do something & not follow through with it shows you what kind of service you'll get in the future. Do not portray me as a liar because I can upload more proof if you'd like!

My experience with Bright Home Energy was nothing but outstanding. From the moment we signed Austin and the team at Bright Home were responsive to my questions, providing a schedule and keeping me "one step ahead." Upon project completion, Austin provided me updates regarding SRP's interconnect. Once the Tesla App was installed, Bright Home and Austin walked me through the mechanics of operating the system. I highly recommend Bright Home if you are considering solar installation.

Due to federal solar tax credit for homeowner-owned systems officially ending on December 31, 2025, we decided to install a solar system and not miss out on the 30% tax credit. Got quotes and decided on Bright Home Energy. From design to installation the experience has been seamless. Greg, the designer, explained and answered all our solar questions. From design, to permits and installation this was by far the smoothest home project we have done. Austin provided regular updates for installers, city and electric company inspections. Thanks for the top-notch customer service.
